Osteopathy with Sam (Southcoast Chiropractors)

Period of care with Sam: “the last few months”

Why I came to Sam

My personal goal has always been to avoid surgery if possible.

I’m currently on a neurosurgery waiting list with a time window to see whether conservative care can change the outcome.
When I first saw the neurosurgeon in January, I was told—quoting—“150% you will require surgery.”

I asked about trying osteopathy, chiropractic, or physiotherapy. I was told I could try, but in my case

surgery would still be required and that alternatives likely wouldn’t work.

What I tried before

I committed to physiotherapy for ~7 months. It helped at first, but by around March I hit a wall

progress stalled and recovery seemed at a standstill.

Finding Sam (Osteopath)

By July, I moved to osteopathy and found Sam.

I’ve now been seeing Sam for the last few months, and each treatment has been beneficial

I see progress in some way every time.

My symptoms are gradually reducing.

I’m realistic: I can’t ask Sam to perform surgery or create a miracle

What I’ve asked for is pain relief, function improvement, and every reasonable chance to avoid surgery

with no guarantee either way at this point.

My aim is to “bend the law of physical healing”

and speed up progress before I receive a confirmed surgery date.

Why Sam stands out

  • I wanted a clinician who listens,
  • not just someone who does what they think without hearing me.
  • After visiting close to 20 different places,
  • Sam has been above and beyond any other treating practice I’ve experienced.
  • Sam combines hands-on care with being a
  • guide for self-healing
  • I leave with programs and homework to keep building at home.
  • Sam understands the road I’m on and
  • sees the same light at the end of the tunnel.
  • With 20+ years of experience, knowledge, and education,
  • sam shows a leading the way toward a future with less pain
  • (ideally pain-free) and with better function.
  • Sam knows when to step back before moving forward,
  • chooses the right tools and equipment,
  • Sam can adapts treatment to where my body is right now.
  • Sam is based at the Southcoast Chiropractors clinic in
  • QLD / Gold Coast (sam formerly from NSW).
  • Sam is well known and has, in my words, a
  • “true volume book” of ways to help me—and others—
  • get back on the road we dream of.
  • Photos below are some demonstration of Sam at work
  • Professional (medical) Pcture Diagrams
  • only and are not real footage .
  • Images and diagrams on this page are
  • illustrative/educational only and
  • do not depict real patients, scans, or clinical events.

What I feel at the clinic

Every visit is a blessing:

I get answers to my questions and relief from current symptoms.
I recommend Sam and the whole Southcoast team

The chiropractors and the reception staff.

The entire structure makes you feel welcome,

you can be yourself, and they understand you,

no matter how you describe the pain.

Their methods and treatment plans are well thought out and tailored.

Where we are now

With Sam now treating my symptoms,

I can’t thank her enough for the ongoing care and the progress we’re making.

We’re not there yet, but we will be.

If we can make this injury non-existent and avoid surgery,

it won’t just be a personal win—

it will show that with help and support,

some people can overcome and avoid surgery completely.

Thank you to the team at Southcoast Chiropractors,

and

Thank You Sam,

for listening, for leading, and for walking this path with me.

Thank You.
